Is it connected directly via a cable, rather than over wifi or even the main modem? Could the issue be something with my PC instead? I tried unplugging/plugging my wifi adapter and changing my DNS to 8.8.8.8 (and then running ipconfig /flushdns), but neither of those helped, so that's when I decided to reset everything. I'm not going to reset the TV right now because someone more familiar with it is going to do that if it's necessary, but for future reference, is it actually necessary to manually reset the TVs after resetting the network, or do they just take a while to pick up the signal again? And is there any way to reset just the internet, without also resetting the TVs? I could reset only the wifi router and not the modem, but that might not solve the problem if it's in our actual network connection and not in the wifi! the reason I was hesitant to do that is because my mother in law is bedridden and she'd go NUTS if she doesn't have her TV, so I'd have to do it sometime when I know she's asleep and will be sleeping for a while! I could ask the person here who owns the laptop to connect it, but that's about it.Īnyway, I finally bit the bullet and reset the router and modem it brought my wifi speeds back up to normal, but now the TVs are all dead, so I guess I'll have to reset those too. ![]()
